We call our central library Vivekananda Pathagar. After renovation it is now relocated on the first floor of the main building of the college covering a large space . It is partially automated with an open access facility. The present stock of the library consists of more than fifty thousand books, including both text books and reference books either purchased or received as gifts from various sources. A good number of books in the stock also come under the Book Bank category. In addition, our library subscribes to many magazines, newspapers, and academic journals alongside thousands of e-journals and databases received through the N-LIST project of INFLIBNET. We are capable of providing space for forty students and ten teachers at a time by accommodating them in their separate reading rooms. There are provisions for computers, printing, and internet for the teachers for which we have a separate chamber. Students can borrow books through library cards issued to them as registered members. The library remains open from 7.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the working days, and 10.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on the days of examination. An average number of ten faculty and fifty students visit the library per day. Our library staffs are very cordial and helpful. They also enable the users to access the other facilities of clipping, circulation, and reprography on demand.
